Handmade Cat Trio

This cute cat trio consists of a paper-pieced bookmark, a matching paper-pieced pincushion, and a cross-stitched ceramic cat pincushion. I bought the ceramic dish at a yard sale (bone china made in England). It's hard to tell by the picture, but there is a boat with two cats in it on one side of the dish. So cute! I just had to stitch up a small cat's face to create this unique item!

Strawberries: Old and New

I made this strawberry over 20 years ago. I bought the fabric in the U.S. (Michigan). It is not just fabric with a polka-dot pattern, the dots are slightly "raised" giving them a three-dimensional look. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the fabric left. Back then we made lots of plush strawberries and put them in preserve jars. My American cousin showed me how to make them and I still have the original handmade pattern. I made the other two strawberries this week. I want to make lots of them and have no two the same!
