This
past weekend we went to Ottawa for the Annual Glebe Garage Sale. You have never
in your life seen anything of this magnitude. It was awesome! The Glebe is a
really nice area of Ottawa. The homes are beautiful (I have included a few
photos)! It has older, well-kept homes with lots of character. Almost every
home participates in this wonderful event! We walked around from 9:00 a.m. to 3
p.m. Yes, six hours! We saw some amazing stuff. Everything you could possibly
imagine. There were lots of dogs, too. I even saw a few Shelties. They also
have food trucks in case you need a snack (poutine). I bought all kinds of neat
stuff. Books (I still like reading “real” books even though I have a Kobo), vintage
embroidery hoops, a bookmark, and lots more! The only bad thing about the Glebe
is that it ruins you for any other garage sales. Nothing compares!

Etsy Anniversary
Today is my Etsy anniversary. I opened my shop one year ago
today. Sales have been relatively slow, but I haven’t given up. I love the Etsy
community! Just to have a place to showcase and sell my stuff makes me very
happy. I have had 13 sales so far. My views aren’t super high compared to some
shops, but I am going to remain positive and stick it out. Thanks everyone!

Silly Cat
Truffles was up to her antics again today. She is sitting in between the sliding door and the screen door. She looks like she is stuck, but she isn't. She can even turn around in there. She stands up on her hind legs and turns around. After all this, she was very tired and had to have a nap. Silly cat!

Bunny Biscornu
It all started with a little bunny button. I decided to make
a cute cross-stitched biscornu with bunnies on it and add the bunny button as
an extra added touch. It has taken a lot longer than I thought it would, but I think the finished product will look nice. I will not be selling this one. It has taken FOREVER to do! Note to self: in future, don't pick a pattern with lots of quarter stitches.

Fossil and Fabric!
My
girlfriend just got back from the U.K. She was visiting her daughter who is
over there on a school exchange program. She brought me back the nicest fabric
and a Fossil makeup bag. Lucky me! I nearly went out of my mind when I saw the
fabric. Thanks, Nancy! You know me too well!
